This 3.5 hour skill builder session is focused on the fundamentals of defensive shotgun employment. We will cover fundamentals of shotgun shooting, patterning at various distances, round change-overs, manipulation, transitions (shotgun to pistol) and movement. Instruction is based on the Rem 870/Mos. 500 pump platform. 6pm-9:30pm at the Charlevoix Rod & Gun Club.
Required gear,
Reliable pump action shotgun
50 rounds of birdshot, 15 slugs and 20 buckshot.
An on-body ammo carrier of some type
Sling to be able to perform shotgun to pistol transitions
Pistol and OWB holster
50 rounds of pistol ammo
Eye protection, ear protection (electronic recommended)
Appropriate clothing for the weather
Notebook and pen for notetaking recommended
Any snacks or drinks to stay mentally sharp
