This class meets all State of Michigan requirements to be able to renew your current CPL before it expires. This is a 4–5-hour refresher course that covers all current Michigan law for concealed carry and includes 1-hour of live-fire training.
The refresher portion of class begins at 11am at Adept Defense (101 Greenwood Cemetery Rd.) in Petoskey. At approximately 2:30pm, we make the short drive to the Charlevoix Rod & Gun Club to use their pistol range for the live-fire portion of class. Class is dismissed from the club with certificates being handed out after the completion of the live-fire training.
Class cost is $75/person
Required items: Pistol, 50rd box of ammo, eye protection, ear protection and appropriate clothing for the weather at the outdoor range.
*This class runs during the second half of our normally scheduled CPL classes.
*This class is not required by the State of Michigan for CPL renewals. You have the option to do self-study of Michigan law and live-fire training. Completing this class does give you a certificate of completion for your records to prove that you did meet Michigan's requirements.
